Go Africa... Go Germany 2010/11

For the fourth exchange in the Go Africa... Go Germany...series, a qualified group of 13 African and 13 German students has successfully completed Go Africa... Go Germany 2010/11 in Germany and South Africa and enjoyed interesting excursions, discussed actual topics and met high-ranking personalities throughout the programme.

Common Paper

In the course of the next decade approximately five hundred million young people will enter the labor market. However, many of them have great difficulties in finding an appropriate job. This paper focuses on the link between entrepreneurship and civic education in Germany and Southern African countries.

Diary

From August 15th to September 2nd 2010, 26 German and African students of this year's scholarship programme take part in a round trip of Germany. In this diary they record their impressions and experiences during the trip.

Reception with the German Federal President - Speeches of Yasmin Kumi and Kudzai Mtero

On August 25th, the scholarship holders went to the Bellevue Palace for the reception with the Bundespräsident Christian Wulff. Yasmin Kumi and Kudzai Mtero gave two speeches which addressed the aims of the program and covered personal and groups' experiences of the past 10 days.

German-African Scholarship Exchange Programme

"Ke Nako", it is finally time! (World Cup motto 2010) - this was the aim of the exchange programme "Go Africa...Go Germany..." when it was launched back in 2007, and the same aim will be consistently pursued in 2010/11 as well, in what will be the programme’s 4th year. (PDF-Version: 3.206 KB)

Go Africa... Go Germany has joined Facebook!

The German-African scholarship exchange programme "Go Africa... Go Germany..." now has a fanpage on Facebook. Follow the link, join the group and come in contact with scholarship-holders and supporters of the programme. Until the 1st of September you can read a regular update of what the fourth generation, a group of 26 students from Germany, South Africa, Mauritius, Zimbabwe, Malawi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Madagascar, Ghana and Namibia is experiencing in the German part of the programme that´s taking place at the moment.
