The "Go Africa... Go Germany 2008/09" programme led the German and East African participants to different settings in Germany, Brussels and East Africa. The range of topics that were discussed during lectures varied from historical, political, economic and social characteristics of the countries involved, namely Germany, Tanzania, Uganda and were enriched with excursions to historical sites, institutions and different organisations. |

From September 1st to September 14th, 2008, 24 German and African students went on a round trip of Germany. On the first day of the programme the overall topic was German history from the end of the Second World War.

 Go Africa... Go Germany 2008/09: The first day in Germany

September 1st, 2008: The first day of the programme started with a crash course in German history from the end of the Second World War.
In the evening, the participants played an interesting intercultural game called "Baffa-Baffa".

Here you can find the 2008 programme. From August 31th to September 16th 2008, all students were on a journey through Germany and Belgium. In February and March 2009, they all visited Tanzania and Uganda.

 Go Africa... Go Germany 2008/09: Excursion

Sunday, September 14th 2008. Today an excursion is on the schedule with a visit to the village of Monreal and the Eltz Castle. We met the mayor of Monreal and the former castellan of the castle and learned a lot about local constitutions and castle history.
