Back to NECE
The NECE Workshops focused on special topics that make up the subject matter of citizenship education, and which also have particular relevance in terms of European education policy. They aimed both to pool expert knowledge on European and national levels, and to provide impulses for education policy and projects in daily practice.
With that in mind, the workshops have introduced individual model projects from different European countries. Conclusions and results from the workshops will be incorporated in the European NECE Conference taking place in Berlin at the beginning of December, 2005. The series of workshops took place in October and November 2005 and were organised with different cooperation partners.
The topics of the six workshops were:
- Quality Assurance in Terms of EDC, Vienna, Austria, 14-15 October, 2005
- Spot on: Europe, Students and young filmmakers from Germany and Poland – The search for European ways of life and cultural identities in film and the media, Slubice, Poland, 26–28 October, 2005
- Citizenship Education for Hard-to-reach-learners, Copenhagen, Denmark, 28-30 October, 2005
- Models of European Citizenship, Saarbruecken, Germany, 6-7 November 2005
- School as a Democratic Space, London, Britain, 17-18 November, 2005
