Auschwitz is on facebook. Anne Frank is on youtube. The Holocaust museum is posting a tweet. The remembrance of the past is already part of the virtual world. The digital media is not only affecting our ways of communication, more and more they determine our comprehension of the past and develop new forms of remembrance and education about history: What about the history books? Will they be disused? Will the visiting of places of remembrance be needless? Will there be only virtual meetings with contemporary witnesses?
