Wendy Lower ist John K. Roth Professor für Geschichte am Claremont McKenna College und Direktorin des dortigen Zentrums für Menschenrechte. Zuvor war sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Historischen Seminar der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) und am U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Sie publiziert bereits zahlreiche Bücher, die sich mit dem Holocaust, der Ukraine und Osteuropa beschäftigen. Ihr Buch "Hitlers Helferinnen" stand auf der Shortlist für den National Book Award 2013.
Wendy Lower is the John K. Roth Professor of History and Director of the Center for Human Rights at Claremont McKenna College. A former research associate at the History Department of the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and current member of the academic advisory board of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, she has published several books and articles on the Holocaust focusing on Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Her latest book, "Hitler’s Furies: German Women in the Nazi Killing Fields" (Houghton Mifflin, 2013) was a finalist for the National Book Award in 2013, and is being translated into nineteen languages.
