Françoise S. Ouzan promovierte an der Universität Paris Sorbonne im Fach Geschichte. Vor ihrer aktuellen Tätigkeit als Senior Researcher am Goldstein-Goren Diaspora-Forschungszentrum der Universität Tel Aviv und Associate Researcher im Französischen Forschungszentrum in Jerusalem (CRFJ/CNRS) fungierte sie als Associate Professor an der Universität Reims. Françoise S. Ouzan hält regelmäßig Vorträge an der Internationalen Schule für Holocaust-Studien Yad Vashem. Zu ihren wichtigsten Veröffentlichungen über Vertriebene, Antisemitismus und das Judentum in Amerika zählen: "Ces Juifs dont l'Amérique ne voulait pas" (1995), "De la mémoire de la Shoah dans le monde juif" (2008) und der historische Roman "Demain, nous partons" (2007). Sie arbeitete mit am "Dictionnaire de la Shoah" (2009) und war in jüngster Zeit Mitherausgeberin der Werke "Holocaust Survivors: Resettlement, Memories, Identities" (2012) und "Postwar Jewish Displacement and Rebirth: 1945 - 1967" (2014).
Françoise S. Ouzan received a PhD in History from the Sorbonne University in Paris; she was an Associate Professor at the University of Reims prior to her current positions as Senior Researcher at the Goldstein-Goren Diaspora Research Center of Tel Aviv University and Associate Researcher at the French Research Center in Jerusalem (CRFJ/CNRS).
