Remembering the Holocaust A talk with Alfred Garwood
On the occasion of the International Holocaust Memorial Day histoCON invited Holocaust survivor Alfred Garwood to talk with educator Esther Selman.
Inhalt
Alfred Garwood was deported to Bergen Belsen concentration camp at the age of 8 months together with his parents and sister. His trauma as a child has also led him to focus on healing trauma in his professional life. He is a group analyst and a retired honorary consultant adult psychotherapist.
Today he is still working as a general practitioner. Garwood also founded 'Child Survivor Group of Great Britain', has published on the Holocaust and deals with psychological functioning of trauma survivors.
