Workshop: Tools for mobilisation of voters – Vote Match Europe 2009

The goal of this workshop was to enable a platform for presenting the launch of VoteMatch Europe 2009 and its partners from the European Network.

Background and Aims

The European networking workshop from 22-23 March 2009 was organized as a continuation of the activities presented at the Networking for the European Parliament Elections Conference in June 2008 in Strasbourg, France.

The workshop can be seen also as part of series of initiatives on both exchange in the field of citizenship education and presentation of existing and planned tools for increasing and measuring voters´ participation. The primary goal of the workshop was to enable a platform for presenting the launch of VoteMatch Europe 2009 and its partners from the European Network. An overview of the latest development of the existing voting tools for participation was provided as well.

The summarized results will flow in a proceeding parliamentary evening on 29th of April 2009 in the presence of partners of VoteMatch Europe, Members of the European Parliament and representatives of the Media.
